Psychosis prevention

Posted by PsychoSage on February 13, 2004, at 15:03:49

I have a sensitivity towards psychotic symptoms because of a 4.5 month binge on methamphetamine.

That ended 34 months ago, but I am on Provigil {day 3 sticking to 50} and i want it to work.

I am also looking into Aricept and anti-Parkinsonians. My doctor came up with that idea.

I wanted to know how you guys try to avoid manic or psychotic symptoms while on stimulating scripts.

I am bipolar, and I take Trileptal 1200. I am also on Wellbutrin 300.

My doctor said to report back immediately if I rage or become psychotic. I have no history of rage or violence, and I would hate to have to go on antipsychotics again.

I hate anti-psychotics too, but they work the best. I take zyprexa. Realy calming. Dopamine might help with staying off meth. It's said to help people who used cocain in the past, it might work for the other?
