amantadine augmentation of SSRI

Have any of you added amantadine to an SSRI to reverse sexual side effects? If so, did you notice whether it enhanced the antidepressant effect? Also, did it ease sleepiness? I need my antidepressant, but it makes me very sleepy. Nothing feels better than taking a nap, but that is unfortunately frowned upon at work.

I am currently taking amantadine 200mg in the hopes that it will augment imipramine 300mg + Zoloft 200mg. Zoloft totally killed my libido. So far, after one week, I have not noticed any improvement in either libido or depression.

You say that your depression has not gotten better, but has it become worse? That is a side effect that really scares me. It is strange--can a drug that causes depression in a lot of people also lift depression in other people? I guess the obvious answer is yes, easily arrived at by simply reading the posts in this forum. But I don't understand it.

Provigil is good for giving energy. It also has no side effects at all for most people.
