Nardil (or SSRI, etc.) anorg.

Posted by Questionmark on January 22, 2004, at 23:53:19

i have some shi**y a*s anorgasmia on Nardil (60mg/day), and my pdoc wouldn't prescribe me anything but Viagra for it. From what i hear/know, that's not gonna do anything for it. It's so frusterating. So my question is if anyone has had any experiences with the following substances for combating anorgasmia (particularly males, but females too)-- from an SSRI or, even better, from Nardil (or, heck, a Tricyclic). Please indicate the length of time on the drugs, the doses, how much it helped, side effects that were not worthwhile, and any other important information. Also, if you happened to have taken one of these things with Nardil, please say how dangerous it may be and if it would likely be recommended/prescribed or not. Thanks very much!

1. Buspar (buspirone)

2. Gingko biloba

3. Cyproheptadine

4. Remeron (mirtazapine)

5. Deseryl (sp.?) (trazadone)

6. Serzone (nefazadone)

7. Phenylalanine or tyrosine

8. Deprenyl (selegeline)

9. Acetyl-l-carnitine (supposed to enhance cholinergic transmission as well other things)

10. Viagra (sildefanil [sp.?])

11. Choline or DMAE (eh, just in case)

12. Stimulants: Ritalin (methylphenidate); amphetamines (Dexedrine; Adderall; Desoxyn).

13. Dopamine agonist (please indicate which)

14. Alpha-2-adrenergic antagonist (yohimbine)

15. Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor (please indicate which)

16. Atypical antipsychotic (please say which)

17. Other

I just had to wait for 4 months before my orgasms came back. I didn't use anything. It definately takes longer to reach them but I can usually do it in under 10 minutes wich before I could do it in a few minutes.

Remeron returned me to normal sexually. 15mg for 2 weeks was enough. Efexor was what caused my problem. I can't see any reason that you couldn't have it with an MAOI. Worst side effect for some people is weight gain. Worst side effect for me is an agitating feeling in my feet which goes away when I lie down. :)

Cheers,
Panda.

Concentration a focusing
On 60 mg Im able to orgasm after 10 minutes
On 75 mg , its hard to believe but I spent 2 hours , jeje , that is too much for a girl

Try to enjoy and do not think about orgasming , juts keep doing your job , enjoy and enjoy , once and again , and when finally you reach it , its gonna be the best orgasm ever.
maybe sounds stupid , but try it

LOL my first orgasm after 4 months was the best thing since sliced bread - I jumped around the room for about 10 minutes
