length of withrawals from effexor

ive been off effexor for over a month now and am still having serious withdrawals. not even to mention the suicidal thoughts, i just feel like my brain just is flat out not working. i am unable to move forward. the only thoughts i can muster up are memories from the past. of which, the memories are few as my memory has been getting worst. i am only 21 and this is really scaring me. i went off just like the dr said, and it took me about 2 months to do so, but now i am hearing from many of these forums that i should have decreased it slower using a fraction of the 37.5mg by taking some of it out to make the doses smaller. but, i am afraid if i start doing that now that it will make the recovery worst and longer since i have already been off the meds for over a month. basically, i want to know if going back on a small dose is a good idea for a little bit, or if i should just wait it out and see if they go away. i am also unsure as to how long these withdrawals should be lasting. i have heard stories of people not being able to take it for 3 days...well, im going on 45 days and it sucks. i could use any help that anyone has. thanks a lot
