Heart Palps?

Posted by Dan W. on December 23, 2003, at 21:38:55

W/ the help of Mclean Hospital, I am clean from alcohol and benzos (ativan) for 63 days. I started taking 150 mgs of effexor and felt better, but had intolerable s/es. I am tapering off it at the same time I am starting lex 10 mg. Wow! I have a double whammy!

Things seem to be smoothing out (it has been 3 weeks) but I am having heart palps.

Anyone experience this? I have had all the cardiac work-ups and they are normal. Any advice?

Dan

I just started Lex at 10 mg and have experienced some mild heart palpatations. Hoping they will go away. Are yours severe? Maybe your body just doesn't agree with the new meds. It might pass in time. Some of the other posts seem to suggest that it takes about 8 wks for the se's to go away.
