questions on new Nardil...

Posted by JREY on December 18, 2003, at 6:25:54

Recently over the last two months I was given by my pharmacist the "old" Nardil by Parke-Davis.That was what he had left over I guess However this last time I received the "new" Nardil by Pfizer. I have read and heard many complaints about this "new" version. What is the difference? Are the side effects worse? What about its effectiveness? Are there more of them? I have been on Nardil for two and half months.

Ugh, what a rough time to have to switch! Although maybe you will be one of the lucky few who is fine on the new Nardil without issue.
There is a big ongoing discussion about this stuff going on at another board -- rather than my trying to summarize the issues here, it might be better if you went to this board and read through some of the posts of the last couple months.

Hope this helps!

I was also taking the old Nardil for 1 month and when I changed to the new one I started having problems of anxiety and side effects.

They changed just one inactive ingredient , but it seems some people its having problems with this little change

dont let this affect you , there are many people also that say they are now on the new Nardil with the same benefits they used to have with the old version

Keep us informed about your situation please
This is very important
Good luck!

They actually changed an number of inactive ingredients, and its either one or a combination of either the ones they're removed or the stuff in there now that is causing problems... its impossible to say, since all the stuff that has been removed looks so innocuous --
wheat flour, gelatin, calcium carbonate, kaolin, talc...
