The prozac I take stops my mastalgia(severe breast pains)but make my legs twitch.
I'd rather live with leg twitch.

I also take prozac and get those leg twitches. Just a side effect of prozac.

I twitched on Paxil, Effexor, and Wellbutrin. Effexor was the worst.
Wellbutrin is not as bad for me. Although I dont have anyone in my bed to notice. I feel them all day long. Mild twitching pretty much everywhere on my body.

My twitches usually happens when I am most relaxed like before I fall asleep, but there are times when I am relaxing watching TV and out of nowhere I will get a twitch that seems to start at my left or right leg causing my entire body to twitch. My doc stated it is just a side effect of my A/D's. That makes sense because I never use to get them before I started taking A/D's.

Ach, twitchy legs are a nightmare.

I have calmed mine down alot by adding a Potassium supplement to my diet.. Mine only really twitch about 20 minutes after going to bed *l*

Banana's are high in potassium too, so I always eat a banana at 10pm now!! *g*

It is miserable though.. I feel for you

Oh, I think my wellbutrin is causing this constant involuntary moments. My leg will jump. A finger moves by itself. My hands are very twitchy. I feel muscles jumping literally all over my body. Does this go away? Also, I find I am always bouncing my leg up and down. I don't know why. It's so aggrevating.

I have been taking SSRI's for a long time and was diagnosed with RLS (restless leg syndrome) which my shrink believes is from the meds. I don't have it all of the time but it only happens at night when I am trying to fall asleep or it wkes me up in the middle of the night! The pain has been so intense: feels like my feet and calves are on fire! The pain is so hard to describe, it's almost like a deep throbbing pain that shoots up my legs. The only way to relieve the pain is to move my legs, which means I have to get up and walk around he house! My shrink gave me a prescription for Klonopin, which works. I also tried Neurontin and Vicodin. I don't like to take the Klonopin because it gives me a nasty hangover the next day; the Neurontin doesn't work; and the Vicodin makes me moody and lethargic the next day. The leg problem seems to be worse when I am stressed out or anxious. Does anyone have any other ideas? I have a script for an anti-Parkinsonian med, but it takes a week or two to work and you have to take it every day.

Hi Slinky, it's probably myoclonus...nothing too serious...if it gets EXTREMELY bothersome you might want to look at switching meds but if the drug is working for you, it's and you can live with the twitching...that's the better deal.
