Hi - I've been on Lexapro since July 18, 2003. I've recently started itching - really bad. Is this a result of the Lexapro? Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm not aware of any association between Lexapro and itching. Also, since your itching is recent, I doubt that it has to do with the Lexapro.

I have been on Lexapro for about 2 months and itch lik crazy!! I am itching right now all over my body. I feel like I got sand fleas on me. Some medications will make you itch.. especially percosets.

OK, so the itching is probably not my imagination either! I thought maybe it was just the weather turning colder - but I don't have dry skin! I've been on Lexapro almost a month and I am itchy too - it just started a few days ago! It's not awful and putting lotion on a couple times a day helps, but the itching on my face is a bit annoying. My p-doc also says this is not a side effect - but here are 3 of us and I remember reading about several others who have itching too! Wish I had a solution, but at least we know it's not our imaginations :-)

I had the itching in the beginning ..... all over my back and top of my arms, but it did go away. If it doesn't go away after a while I might think it's an allergic reaction????? Codine (sp?) makes me itch terribly!

Can you please tell me if the itching went away after you stopped the Lexapro? I have it too but have been off of the Lexapro for over a month. Please. Please. I am going crazy.

i've developed what seems like poison ivy. different spots though.... middle of back, hand, both arms. fluid filled and they keep popping up. i'm not aware of being around any. does that ring a bell with anybody. i've only been on lexapro 3 weeks.
