How long do side effects last?

Posted by MelanieKlem on October 19, 2003, at 10:27:28

Hello. I was on zoloft for some time and for a while tried to wean myself off of it. I have not taken any for about a week. I have continued to experience "brain zaps" many times throughout thed day. While very disturbing and uncomfortable, I am trying to just hang in there. I don't want any more zoloft. All I want to know is will these side-effects go away for sure? They are not permanant right? THANK YOU!! MelanieKlem

I didn't have this experience with Z, but did have it with Paxil. I had the "brain-zaps" for at least 2 weeks after stopping the drug. Yes, they DID eventually go away! Hang in there, and I'm sure things will get better!
