Hi,
I haven't posted here in months, but I was wondering if anyone has had trouble with itching while taking Lexapro? I have developed this strange, itching sensation in my left forearm, of all places. The weird thing is, there will be nothing there, it will start to itch terribly and I will scratch and scratch until these tiny little bumps appear...then, they will just go away after a while.....I put hydrocortisone lotion on, which will help sometimes, but not always....
Also, I've noticed jaw tension and some aching in my right hip- like a tendon or muscle or something....hmmmmm, anyone else had these kind of issues? I like, overall, the effects of the lexapro, in that I have felt less anxious, less obsessive and compulsive, and I generally sleep better...
Any insight would be great, especially about the itching!!!

I checked the Lexapro website and found that muscle aches, jaw tension and itching are all SE's of the drug. If you scan the previous posts, there was one about jaw clenching a while ago. I just had a recent case of the itchies but I'm pretty sure it was just my allergies kicking in.

I'd assumed at the time that it was my Adderall doing that. I was taking it in combo with Lexapro. Switched off Lexapro for ear-ringing problems. Recently tried Lexapro again, and ))>raised eyebrows<(( that old itching-hives returned. HHmmmmmm.....
