A girl from my area... was taking prozac for her depression and she was also taking ginkgo for her brain fog as we call it..... she was taking prozac for 5 mnths then started ginkgo 3 weeks ago... she started to feel a little funny her doctor said it was ok.. actully she is now in a physc hospital as she has seritonon syndrome.. caused by mising them... when we went to visit her last night (scary place) the physc told us she isnt the only one it has happened too... just thought i would warn you guys... i was going to try it too along with my remeron.. but am terrified now.. :)

I personally had absolutely no problem with combining Celexa and Ginkgo. Infact, the gingko seemed to make the depression even worse. From what I understand, ginkgo is a serotonin reputake acellerator.

Perhaps there is some other reason serotonin syndrome happened for Prozac. Prozac is the least clean of the SSRIs. It has effects on MAOa/b perhaps this had something to do with it.

You may want to take caution if you are going to combine it with Celexa, but personally it was very little help at all. I used Ginkoba as directed for two months and was still foggy. I found much better sucess with Folic acid, Fish Oil and coffee, all of which don't interact (in my experience).

thouse are the 3 I use regularly, plus nicotine. I was just currious about other SSRIs.
