How much baking soda should I take before taking adderall to increase its effects? And at what period of time (1,5,10,15 minutes?) before Adderall?

Larry,
Instead of baking soda you can use tums or rolaids. Any ant-acid will do. The key is to negurlize stomic acids when they are high (Heart burn, empty stomic, etc). I don't recommend just taking baking soda to increase obsobstion because its fine to eat a nice meal before taking it as well. Also some things you should look out for is taking vitimen C or eating citric fruits before you take adderall because it can lower obsobsion.
Anti-Acids pretty much work right away I usually take them one after another, but another problem can occur if you are constantly taking anti acids is you will have cronic heart burn. I was taking them alot and I ended up having to keep taking them because I would get heart burn if I didn't. Going cold turkey hurt :-(

Just my experience -- sodium bicarb really does seem to have a much more profound impact on amphetamine than calcium carbonate (to me, that is). I take my DextroStat each morning by crushing the tablets as finely as possible and placing the powder in a small cup with 1/2 tsp of baking soda and some sugar, then stir in a little water and have something non-acidic/carbonated near me to chase it with... *nasty*, nasty taste that stuff has. :-)

I'm just curious. Why would you go through just a process to enhance the absorbsion? Do you eat in the morning? If you feel it isn't working enough wouldn't it be easier to have your Doc increase your dosage. I do not mean offense it's just the process you discribe sounds like something an abuser would do. Does doing it that way enhance some aspects of the drug while minimizing others?? If it would give the same effect without having to pee all the damn time hellz I'll do it to.

I take my dex in powder form because it begins to work much more quickly -- something extremely important for me, because occasionally I forget to wake up an hour before I plan to actually get out of bed to take my meds... when I forget, then I wake up and am an absolute terror to be around until my meds start to work.
My doctor won't prescribe any more than the dose I'm on, and the bicarb definitely makes it feel more potent than it should. Besides, that means having to take less amphetamine. Also, baking soda is a GI alkalinizer *and* urinary alkalinizer, which means it also about doubles the duration of action of amphetamine -- a *huge* benefit.
