Sounds like Akathisia is not a problem for you!! Still I wouldn't try going up on dose too fast, maybe 5 or more days. So the lower zyprexa has not hurt any? Goood.

My first trial I was taking 15mg the whole time, with or without the zyprexa. I had tried taking the smallar doses some time later to see if there would be any benifit for me.

It sounds like the Abilify is working for you. You probably would not have any trouble with the 15.

Sounds strange to me, but I guess the abilify is working for you. Especialy since you have reduced zyprexa. Maybe you ought to try 0mg zyprexa?

Maybe the Celexa should turn into Wellbutrin? Or take more Abilify? Try 15mg Abilify! That should do the trick!

hey that is plan B :)

i would prefer not to increase abilify too much as it blocks receptors i need to hit to treat my ADD (D4 and alpha1)

actually i've thought about it, and increasing the abilify sounds like a good idea, but the cost would be prohibitive

Just remember pill spliting, since you arn't going through a medical insurance company, you can buy 90 day supply of 30 mgs and cut, its cheaper this way, if you reserch a cheap pharmacy, any pharmacy would give you a lower price on a larger supply but some are cheaper than others.

Are you just trying not to sleep all day? I think if you switch celexa to wellbutrin, you would get over the sleep thing. And you take stimulants also don't you? Its posible..Maybe the stimulant puts you to sleep. But I would rule out the celexa first.

i was intending to buy 30mg and cut, but i wasn't aware that buying a 90 day supply was cheaper than buying 3 30 day supplies, is it?

well i'd like to go from 12,13,14 i get now to at most 9 hours

>think if you switch celexa to wellbutrin, you would get over the sleep thing. And you take

true.... but i think serotonin plays a role in my depression

>stimulants also don't you? Its posible..Maybe the stimulant puts you to sleep. But I would rule out the celexa first.

i dunno... i think the problem is that i don't get excited about anything.... no hopes or plans or goals or motivation... but otherwise my depression is gone

I think you should give 15 mgs a try, just for a couple of days, maybe 3. It will help get the medicine in your system faster and hopfully get you out of sleep cycle. Then go back down to 7.5, if it works and the 7.5 doesen't work after, consider 10mgs.

So it wasn't just me!?.. Try 10mg.?

How much less sleep? In total hours.

You still aught to try adding some wellbutrin to the mix even if you can't stop the celexa. 100-200mgs.

i don't like the awake but tired feeling, so i'm going back to 3.75 or 5.125 mg

> How much less sleep? In total hours.

dude it was hard to figure out at first cuz i would have trouble falling asleep at night (how od you combat this?) but now i'm thinking i must be getting about 6 hours of sleep (yahoo!) ....

> You still aught to try adding some wellbutrin to the mix even if you can't stop the celexa. 100-200mgs.

i'm pretty content.... my biggest problem now is mild depression (want to switch ADs) and no libido

all i need is a little more AD effect, and i could get a really nice job

Have you timed your sleep? Your down to 6 hours a night? Is that since 15 mgs? Do you still take Celexa during this? 5mgs might do the trick now to get away from the sleep? Wouldn't that be a nice supply! I did notice you were staying up later and later every night, sort of how I did on 15. when I had gotten abilified out my doc suggested taking the zyprexa with it; helps with sleep.

Sebastian

P.S. Have you not tried wellbutrin??It has less negative effects!.

nope i have only taken 7.5 mg a day, and i havn't even given that time to build up in my body to steady-state bloodlevels..

i took only 3.75 mg today, and i'll see if i can stick with it.. if i start to sleep too much, i'll take 5.125 mg

>Celexa during this? 5mgs might do the trick now to get away from the sleep? Wouldn't that be a

yeah i still take the celexa... i wonder if i can reduce to 40 mg and keep the AD effect but lose the side effects (libido! apathy!)

>nice supply! I did notice you were staying up later and later every night, sort of how I did on 15. when I had gotten abilified out my doc suggested taking the zyprexa with it; helps with sleep.

yeah i wonder how long it takes to get used to sleeping on abilify of course i am also taking it with a stimulant ... ritalin... so who knows which is to blame

> P.S. Have you not tried wellbutrin??It has less negative effects!.

no dude.... remember i am already on 4 drugs! i'm looking to switch rather than add :)

Do you pay a co-pay on meds in Canada?

If you took 7.5 now for a week you are almost at steady state with 30mgs in your system, true would be 36. If you go down to 3.75, steady will be 18mgs. If you take 5mgs, steady will be 24 mgs.... So to stay at roughly the same in your system now you would take 5mgs. But I'm guessing 3.75 is enough. Strong medicine? 3 day half life. Have you taken any zyprexa lately?

yeah a deductible and $2 co pay...

but for abilify i have to drive to the states (abilify is not available in canada)

> If you took 7.5 now for a week you are almost at steady state with 30mgs in your system, true would be 36. If you go down to 3.75, steady will be

i'm curious how you calculate steady state (i tried using a sum of exponential decay converging series, ug)

>18mgs. If you take 5mgs, steady will be 24 mgs.... So to stay at roughly the same in your system now you would take 5mgs. But I'm guessing

yeah you're probably right.... but i think i will go for the lowest dose that will energize me enough ... (how much do you have to take to notice an increase in libido???? or to get your emotions back????)

>3.75 is enough. Strong medicine? 3 day half life. Have you taken any zyprexa lately?

havn't taken zyprexa in a week or two

abilify seems to be a winner.............. but i definately understand why people would want to avoid the feel-tired-but-can't-sleep feeling, yuck!

How big a deductible? On pills?

I used Excel with 7.5=15ek3,>,1 day=.5^(1/3)
So : TodaysDose + (YesterdaysAnswer * (.5^(1/3))) = Remaining in system

15 for a week and things were looking 'good'. Can't say I had tested the libido. I noticed emotions here also. I don't have a lot of experience with the lower doses.

I wonder why Abilify's smalest dose is 10mg? Why don't they have a 3 or a 5 mg dose.

Sebastian
