When Prozac Weekly first came out I remember seeing advertising saying you should take Prozac 20mg daily for about four weeks before starting the Weekly. My doc said that was just for caution because of the long half life, if someone who had never taken Prozac had a bad reaction and had taken Prozac Weekly, one would suffer longer. In other words if you've taken daily Prozac before and had no problems, you can just start taking the Prozac Weekly without taking the daily dose for a month, any advice??
