Hi Have been on stelazine for quite a while now and does nothing for the sex life! Can you suggest an alternative[for schizophrenia] Zyprexa has been suggested ?? Any advice would be gratefully excepted

Hi Swan,
I took/take Zyprexa for other reasons. It helped me "settle down" a lot. It only made my sex life *much* better, at least after being on SSRIs for several months.

Try Abilify. I have tried many antipsychotics but Abilify has caused the least sexual dysfunction. I have been on it since January 2003. And right now I'm on 10mg a day.
I strongly recommend Abilify (aripiprazole).

In the longer term it may be worth your while to learn about the Orthomolecular treatment of Schizophrenia which usually results in a good improvement to mental health together with a reduction in antipsychotics over a period of years.You can get the main details for $3.95 by buying "Orthomolecular Treatment for Schizophrenia" by A.
