sorry, I'm not from the UK but I started Provigil today. So far not impressed. I am taking 100mg. I also take Adderall xr. I may have had to big of lunch and desert and that is why I am sleepy and feel a little dizzy. I am not used to sweets these days.
It is a very expensive drug. Without insurance 60 100 mg tablets would be 245.00

Thanx for the reply!

I assume your in America right?

I'm not really worried about whether it will work or not.
Just getting anything prescribed is a challenge here with the Monkeys we have for doctors!

British doctors won't precribe amphetamines or ritalin under any circumstances, even if your an adult ADHD!

My GP told me Provigil was an amphetamine! I told him it wasn't but he didn't believe me, that what I have to work with.
Just finding anyone who would consider prescribing it would be an achievment!!

Hi TheOutsider, yes I am an American. I believe Provigil is considered a psycostimulant. It is prescribed for narcoleptics. I am on day two. 100mg in the morning. I feel a little dizzy and upset tummy...but I guess that is supposed to ware off. I will keep you posted.

Dr's here can also be obtuse.

p.s. I am also on adderall.

One thing I have learned with pdoc's don't get into a power struggle with them, they will win every time :)

I asked my pdoc 2 months ago about provigil and he finally thought of it my last visit :)
