I live in Thailand and am in the process of tapering off Klonopin, (which is called Rivotril here,) and have discovered that the 3 hospital pharmacies I've visited do not stock the 1 mg. size; they have only the 2 mg. and .5 mg. sizes. When I get down under the 2 mg./day dose, I'm going to have to split the 2 mg. pill in half. I'm curious about the availability of the 1 mg. size in the U.S., and particularly in any other countries. Not having the 1 mg. size seems a bit stupid and impractical. Has anyone elsewhere run into this?

As far as i know, in Canada we have
0.5 tablets (orange). You can call
a pharmacy and see if you can get
a 1.0 or other size sent to you or
ordered through your doctor for this
particular request of withdrawing.
Your dr. may be able to cooperate
with the pharmacist for your case.I used a pill cutter and it was ok
until getting to the 0.125 level - which
was difficult both mechanically and
mentally -- that's when the withdrawal
became difficult for me.BTW, i hope your dr. has approved of
your getting off this drug in the first place.
Good luck.Squiggles
