Keep in mind only the state of California has made this assessment, and is basing it soley on animal models used three decades ago.

Animal models are fickle predictors of cancer, and this has not prompted the FDA to withdraw the medication.

Also consider that depression itself carries a *known* incidence of higher mortality in *humans*, and that this risk must be weighted against any risks your doctor will consider before prescribing this to you.

Nevertheless, Nardil remains something that is for those who fail to respond well to first-line treatments.

Remember also that there was an earlier article out of Canada that claimed some of the SSRI's, specifically Paxil, could cause an increase in breast cancer. But then again what doesn't cause cancer? We all will eventually get cancer, if nothing else kills us first. Personally, I think that treating my depression with whatever works for me, will increase my chances of living longer or at least better than not treating my anxiety/depression.

I work at a Cancer Agency, and that shit is everywhere, and affects every age, type, color, shape of person imaginable. I wouldn't stop using Nardil or get too excited about this report, if Nardil is working for you.

I do appreciate the information, though, thanks for sharing all this great info with us, Utopizen.

yeah, Hydrazine and its derivatives can cause cancer... I think the levels of Phenelzine would have to be fairly high

First, as usual, please don't post anything that could lead others to feel accused or put down. Second, when you're blocked, you're not supposed to post.
