Help-Hands VERY shaky...........

Posted by Krissy P on March 15, 2003, at 23:05:03

Hi, has anyone ever had the "shakes" while on any of these meds? I started back on the Effexor and Lamictal, 2 weeks ago, as some of you know, but I wanted to post about these shaky hands--and legs like when I sit a certain way or just when I get upset. I just got a little upset about sonething, but even when I'm ok, I still get these shakes--really shaky and I'm about to take my meds again. This didn't happen so much with the Effexor-could it be the Lamictal???
Please any help or experiences, or advice would be appreciated,
Kristen

Krissy, I experienced the shaky hands, after starting Effexor, for about two weeks and it went away

Hi fayeroe, thanks, I hope they do too. I'm starting my 3rd week back on Effexor-75mg.
The shakiness is weird huh? I feel like I'm withdrawing off booze (even though I never have) or something lolololol

Hi Krissy,

I felt a bit shaky on prozac sometimes, especially when I drank coffee, must have had something to do with the caffeine.

Do you drink lots of caffeinated drinks or smoke (smoke)? I guess if you cut either of these stimulants out things might be better, thats if you use them !

Good luck, hope you feel better soon,
Janejj

Hi Janejj, yes, I am beginning to think that the cigs and the soda I drink don't help the shakiness at all.
I need a complete overhaul-but I am afraid of the withdrawal sx from caffeine(which I don't drink a lot of), the smokes, and my body would go into shock if I cut down the fat and sugar in my diet. lol
UGHHHH I want to do it so bad. Sorry for whinin,
Take Care, Kristen
