Effexor and Alcohol?

Posted by khead on January 12, 2003, at 14:47:51

Just wondering...from all I can glean from
the product insert, various Rx info websites,
etc., there would seem to be no defined
interactions with (presumably moderate)
use of the grape, etc. I do realize that
alcohol is a CNS depressant, and has re-bound
effects if overused. Any of you wine afficiandos
out there that have had negative experiences?

Nope, as a matter of fact, it seems to have less effect on me. I believe one of the main reasons they advise again it is due to a couple facts one of which you already stated, anit- depressants and depressants don't mix. Also, it can be pretty hard on your liver.
Just keep in mind though that the effects will be different for everyone.
