Ran Out Of Nardil !

Posted by cosis on December 30, 2002, at 17:20:08

Hi,

I thought my shipment of Nardil would be in today, but hopefully it will be tomorrow. I only took half of my dose day (45g) and ran out. Will missing a day or maybe two of my prescription cause my any problems? Please let me know soon if you know anything.

Thanks,
Nick

Nick,

Nardil stays in your system a pretty long time. I wouldn't worry about a day or two, but after that you may feel some effects. Call around to all the pharmacies in your area to see if any of them have it left in stock.

Yeah you should be ok but in terms of a discontinuation syndrom (given the short half life of Nardil) you wouldn't want to go without any longer.
Therepeutic effects won't decline.

Very true...you wont "relapse" but after a day or so not having it, you will probably start having nightmares, etc. (at least that's what happens to me)

Funny you mention that I had a nightmare last night, one of the only dreams I've had since starting Nardil. Damn I get my drugs in 1-2 day's since the post office is closed today :(

I don't know if I would call my dreams nightmares now.. I have had 3 straight dreams were I am being chased by people or I am on some kind of adventure..

One was stealing a business case fool of gold and money plates

Two was me and some girl running from mercenaries

Three was old school physical fights with old school friends and me being scared to fight..

This is really weird to say the least!

Hi Cosis.

The intense dreaming is due to what is known as REM rebound. I find that it can start between 48 and 72 hours after a drastic dosage reduction. I have begun to reduce my dosage of Nardil in anticipation of stopping it entirely. I am using Zyprexa as a sort of bridge to get through the "relapse" (washout) period. I am hoping that it helps take the edge off.
