Besides the benzos which other medicines are used to treat Social phobia ? Ive heard that some maois
and some tryciclics are also used to treat this.
can you tell me wich are them?

I see youve been taking amisulpride for sp which is a good idea, but at 400 mgs a day!?!?! Thats WAY to much. Thats almost the dosage used for schizophrenia. If you go to high(150mgs day or even less) you definitly wont get any benefit, and it will likely cause side effects. The normal dosage for sp is 50mgs a day. Maybe Im not getting the whole piture, but if I am, I really dont think your doctor knows what hes doing.

Now , im only taking 200mg of amisulpride due to the Akaticia . Do you mean that I shoul be taking only 50 mg ? Is the Amisulpride a good medicine for social phobia? Have you tried this medicine?

I have seen a good response with omega-3 fish oil in cases of agoraphobia (fear of leaving the house) so I wonder if it would help in social phobia.Fish oil figures on this board almost every day and it covers a lot of psychiatric illness.Why not try it at the rate of 5g daily for a few weeks and adjust the dose as required.See further details on www.omega3.20megsfree.com

Hi Tepiaca dear,
I have to let you know there is a lot of junk info on the internet - my site is an exception but I do not recommend to you this website in general until AFTER you have learned some stuff - hopefully by then you will not even want to be online at least not on a site like this.
The comment on fish oil for example (I had to open that to read my post .. hahaha ... well anyway that is a ludicrous post (no offense to the poster) - but what I'm saying is you will see 90% of info here is useless or misinformation and you will only be more consued then ever.
Please check out my site which recommends at the end a few inexpensive top of the line paperbacks which will educate you quickly on the issues you want to learn about ... especially Gorman's book first - then maybe the others ...
