Does the morning tiredness ever go away?
Has anyone had any success with Remeron for GAD? If so, at what dose and how long did it take to see a result?

<<Does the morning tiredness ever go away?>>
Well I've been taking Remeron since 11/9/02 at 15mg for a few days, then up to 30 mg up to 3 weeks, then up to 45 mg after that. The sleepiness was overpowering until I moved to 45 mg. After that and getting to one month on the drug, it began to work and the sleppiness was much lesss. I still sleep more than I used to but I'm not so terribly tired. Remeron has more norepinephrine effect and less histamine effect at higher doses. The antidepressant effect started to work after one month. I don't hit those hopeless lows. I am still sad but not like before. It feels much like Effexor XR but without the sexual side effects, and not quite so stimulating.<<Has anyone had any success with Remeron for GAD? In did test positive for GAD in some psychological testing as well as major depression. I seem to be ok mixing with others and going to stores and such. I'm not overcome with anxiety as I have been previously. So I think it may be helping siginficantly for anxiety.
You may need to increase the dose and don't expect much till a month goes by. It's main side effects on me are some skin sensations occasionally, the sensation of dry mouth, without having a dry month, and some sedation. Oh, and it does not seem to reduce pain (e.g. back pain) like Paxil, Celexa, and Effexor. My neck pain is less (from tension though).
I hope this is of some help to you.

didnt' work for anxiety for me; in fact, I think it makes me more aggitated. Started at 15 and titrated does up to 45mg for 8 months, now tapering off at 30mg and eventully discontinuing due to aggitation, weight gain, and extreme tension headaches.

My experience is more like that of SleepyLizard's. It does seem to help my anxiety.
