Nardil doing well

the only problem is sexual side effects and craving sweets. i cant get enough chocolate:)
as far as the antidepressant effect it is doing really well. as far as the social phobic/anxiety effect it is starting to wean a bit. i thought it would make me vewry outgoing but it has not.
im on a solid dose at 75mgs and been there for a good time now. anorgasmia is really bad. since i went up to 75mgs nothing!!!!. but im living with it.
hey had to put my cat on elavil said the vet. he was crying all night long for weeks cause i moved back in with mom for a while. he said we will keep him on for 3 months and wean him off. so far so good he is not crying anymore. fingers crossed.

Ross,

Glad to hear you've given Nardil a second chance and that it's working so well.

The anorgasmia IS a bitch; so start priming your doc for a switch to Parnate. May not have the SP ability that Nardil does, but the AD effect is just as good. That's why I switched after a few years on Nardil. (only drawback is a two week washout from the Nardil)

BTW, you may find that after about four weeks at 75 mg/day, you may be able to cut back. You have to do it very slowly though so you can tell what's going on. I found I had to ramp up to 5 tabs a day at first, but could then cut down to 2 tabs (30 mg ?) one day and 3 the next. That was the minimum: any less and the depression would return.
