I feel so blessed that I have found this site. I can believe the wealth of knowledge here. Are most of you med students? I have had trouble finding anyone on the net with any "real" knowledge about these disorders and medications. I thought I knew quite a bit after being diagnosed for 15 years, but wow! I feel like a bipolar newbie here, lol!

For the most part I think we represent a "true" community of mental illness...we aren't "crazy" or "violent"...we are students, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, doctors, and educators...are illnesses range from generalized anxiety to schizophrenia, narcolepsy, and drug dependence.
Our knowledge comes from experience, trial-and-error, frustration, education, and most importantly our peers.
