Hi
I have been suffering from bulimia for about the last 12 years. I have tried almost every combinations of anti-depressants and am currently taking prozac and welbutrin. But I was still "missing" something. I was still suffering from obsessive thoughts and had little control over my compulsion to eat. My Dr suspected that I may be ADD. So we are experimenting with Dexedrine.
Anyway, I was wondering if there was anyone else out there that suffers from an eating disorder/add or an ocd/add? Have you found success? Failure?
Thanks
TB

Dexedrine is first-line therapy for ADD/ADHD in Australia, for good reasons:

METHYLPHENIDATE VERSUS DEXTROAMPHETAMINE IN ADHD
[Letters To The Editor].
Efron, Daryl MD"As the authors suggest, this preparation (dextroamphetamine) can be demonstrated to have a comparable efficacy and side effect profile to methylphenidate, with perhaps a more favorable biological and behavioral half-life, then it might be a useful addition to the psychostimulant armamentarium available to clinicians who treat ADD."
