Anyone know is if Prozac increases body serotonin as well as brain serotonin? I'm on it now and have facial flushing, which I believe is a symptom of elevated body serotonin

What my doc told me is that the serotonin in the body is affetced too (especially in the digestive system, which accounts for some initial stomach quesiness etc in some people), but that these cells get accustomed to the drug, which is why the initial side effects usually subside after a few days to weeks.
