Wine and benadryl are depressants, so they could
have a tendency to have a dampening effect on
the prozac. But to be honest, I have given up
on trying to be a health nut while taking meds.
If there isn't a serious drug interaction then
I'll have a few beers with my buddies or take
an anti-histamine to sleep. The real danger
is understanding if a drug interaction might
make you dizzy or disoriented and cause you
to not operate machinery appropriately. Best to
not be driving your car while mixing meds.

Prozac generally seems stimulating, so I would
guess that a glass of wine or a little benadryl
wouldn't hurt. Moderation is key.

Keep in mind, everybody is different , and until
the prozac is working I would minimize any
interference. When you feel better you may want
to explore "having a little fun". Otherwise, what's
the point in living, IMHO.
