Hi! What a great board! You people seems like knowing a lot. I am Swedish, so pardon my english.

Can anyone give me any advice on how to fight insomnia with Serzone? Dosage and when to take it?

Hope for some advice on this one, Serzone seems like the right thing for me.

Martin

The dose needs to be individually tailored - I have used from 200 to 400 mg regularly after several months getting accustomed to it. Even 75 mg will likely make you very sleepy in the first few weeks.

Take it an hour or so before your bed-time - it is fairly slow acting, I find.

It has considerable advantages over other sleeping meds - feels very natural, and seems to improve REM (dreaming) sleep if anything, and lasts all night with just a little drowsiness in the morning at the higher doses. So it's good both for trouble falling asleep, and for waking up in the middle of the night (my worst problem).

Some tolerance develops, but I was on it 6+ years before it began to lose its effect.

Good luck!
