How have other people done on RISPERDAL ?

Posted by HenryO on September 3, 2001, at 5:16:19

Risperdal (risperidone) has been the best thing I have tried. I use it as an augmentation in my AD "cocktail". It has been making ALL the difference for me for over three months now. I know each of our brains has a unique response to medication. Odds are it may not work the same for many others. Has anybody else had the same experience as I. I feel normal. I don’t have that guilty lurking sense that maybe there is some other better drug out there that might let me feel just that critical degree better that I suspect I need. I have been a decade trying different combinations. I figure I have struggled with depression since 2nd grade. Tell me if you’ve been helped by this drug. I just want to know.

RISPERDAL - helped me a whole lot. np

The drug did nothing for me except give me a speach impedement. I wonder why it did that. Withing days of coming off reseridone, my proper speach came back.

Risperdal made me feel like a Zombie. I had no emotions at all. I reacted much better to Zyprexa.

Thanks for responding. This is all so fascinating. What is a God-send for one of us is no-good for another. How strange.

I too have found Risperdal to be the *best* med for me, ever, in terms of side effects, and that it normalizes my moods and cycles. Now, I have been scared off from adding and AD, because I tried a few with Risperdal, and they sent me into nasty mania. What AD is good to take with Risperdal that *won't* cause cycling and mania?

Thanx, and just as a note...I would *highly* recomend folks give either Risperdal, or any atypical antipsychotic a shot, as I am honestly *amazed* at this med compared to just being on ad's and 'mood stabalizers'.
