Hello John L!
I know you have been bombarded with Adrafinil questions lately, and I'm sorry to add to the mix, but I could greatly use your guidance --My Adrafinil just came in the mail today ... my pdoc knows nothing about Adrafinil, so we are both looking for some direction on how I should start --
I am currently taking 200 mg Wellbutrin, plus 10 mg Prozac daily. Should I just start the Adrafinil tomorrow, and stay on the Wellbutrin? Or should I cut down on the Wellbutrin, or stop it completely before starting the Adrafinil?

I received my Adrafinil in the mail about 5 days ago. I am taking 20 mg Prozac, 100 MG Wellbutrin twice a day.
Have started out on 300 mg of adranafil in the morning and in the afternoon. Haven't noticed any affects as of yet.
I will keep you posted on my "experiment".
By the way, I haven't told my pdoc that I have started taking adranafil. I will discuss with her at my next appointment.

Thanks so much for the info ... it sounds like we are on almost the exact same program.I took 300 mg of Adrafinil this morning, and felt quite drowsy and a bit spacy -- even ran through a red light with my 20-month old daughter in the car -- I've never done that before! I don't know whether or not to blame the Adrafinil for that ... I took a Klonapin last night to help me sleep, so it could have been the lingering effects of that (although it's never bothered me before; maybe the combination of Klonapin + Adrafinil? Hmmmm).
Do you know if Adrafinil takes awhile to work, like the SSRIs, or is it immediate, like the stimulants? I have so many questions! Also, if I decided to take more than 300 mg, would I split the dose during the day (like with the Wellbutrin), or take it all at once (like with the Prozac)?
You haven't noticed any side effects? That's good news ...

I believe that the adrafinil does not take effect immediately. From what I have read, it takes from 10-14 days to start working with gradual changes occurring after that time. Also, from what I have read, it is better to split the dosage. I am taking 300 mg in the morning and 300 mg in the afternoon.
