Prozac: Month 2/Dosage Increase

Posted by Izzie on June 25, 2001, at 10:28:24

Welp all, thanks for the advice a month ago when found out I was to be put on Prozac. Just did my first Dr's follow up and had my dosage increased, mainly to myself not quite getting the results I'd wanted. My therepy is going well w/ my Psychologist, I've "graduated" to every other week instead of every week. I *DO* feel better than before, my anger is much more under control, but feel it could be a little more so.

I haven't gotten many side effects as of yet. I just started the 40mg dose about a weeks. The only real thing I've noticed is a slight tiredness (6hrs sleep in days don't help :-P). Otherwise, all is groovy on the 'zac front.

My advice: If you feel that the drug is helping you, and your Dr is helping you...don't give up. There are no "miracle" drugs, and most take time to work. Let the meds and your Drs work for you, and you'll get better....at least I am. I still have a way to go..but at least the travel will be better.
