Chet - What dose of Effexor are you taking? Quite a few people have sexual dysfunction with serotonergic antidepressants (eg SSRIs). Effexor acts like a SSRI at lower doses (< 225mg). Sometimes increasing the dose above this level can help to alleviate the anorgasmia, but not always. SSRIs actually help premature ejaculators.
There are several things that you can try to help with anorgasmia. SalArmy has listed them on this page under the title "Sexual Dysfunction Pharmacy". None of the methods work 100% in everyone. Print off the list Sal and take it to your doctor. The two of you can decide if any of the treatments would be right for you.
Good luck and keep us posted. - Cam
