Klonopin and heartburn?

Posted by bandolph on May 23, 2001, at 9:45:24

I am bipolar and have had trouble getting to sleep lately. My pdoc gave me klonopin to help me sleep.
It worked perfectly but had an odd side effect.
I no longer have heartburn. I was ingesting 2 pepcids
a day. have not needed one for a while. Any ideas what that means and is it something I should inform my doc of.
thanks

Thanks. I think I should inform my pdoc about
the side effect maybe more significant than I first thought.

WOW What an amazing association. The only thing I could think of linking the two is that a person who has Anxiety/Depression problems might be a very worrisome and overly concerned individual thus creating even more stress in addition to the normal stresses of everyday life which we all know alone can lead to excessive stomach acid production. As for the other way around, who would ever think? So which came first the chicken or the egg riddle.
