Ever since taking my AD, I've been more aware of..

Posted by Dubya on February 25, 2001, at 22:12:20

Ever since taking my Clomipramine 4weeks ago, for some reason,I seem more aware of my mood disorders rather than ignoring their existence. This for some reason, makes me feel more depressed and have an even greater tendancy to do nothing. I have no motiviation to go anywhere, except the gym. I have a car at my disposal around the clock, yet I don't have any urge to go anywhere. I am 20, male, from a suburb of Toronto, Canada. Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

You need an augmentation agent. Lithium is the agent of choice worldwide, but there are others, like buspirone or pindolol. Lithium helped a couple of my antidepressants work better {and I don't have bipolar disorder}.

- > First drug yes. Just in general, the thoughts relevant to the anxieties are more prominent in my mind. Also, for some reason, since taking this med 5weeks ago, I have had nightmares and bad dreams. I wonder if these bad dreams are drug related. Also, weird to me, I've stop taking my antihistamines (Claritin) on my own will and for the past week, I've been almost immune to my allergies!!! Hmm, perhaps the antidepressant (clomipramine) has antihistiminic properties? At least a sigh of relief seeing how everything in my 'hands' was going wrong for the past several years.
