I am currently taking Zoloft and Wellbutrin at the maximum dosage level. I do get bad headaches and feel dizzy especially at night. I have been taking them for over 2 1/2 months and have recently started experiencing headaches and dizziness. Is it just temporary or should I lower my dosage? I do feel great at 400 mg wellbutrin (twice a day) and 200 mg zoloft. I do feel myself and helps me concentrate as I am also a student. I don't like the agitation, dizziness, and headaches. Please give me some advice as to what I should do?

Nick - First thing to do is tell your doctor about this. You expect these symptoms as start up side effects of both drugs, but usually don't appear 2 to 3 months down the road (unless there were recent dosage increases). A doc can diagnose these emergent symptoms, better than I can, by eliminating other potential causes of these symptoms. Then again, it could be a change in barometric pressure causing these symptoms (probably not).
Perhaps, as your depressive symptoms begin to remit, you may require a slightly lower maintenance dose of one or the other (or both) of these antidepressants. It's best to check with the doc before modifying the dose, so he/she can monitor the change.
Hope this helps - Cam

Hi Nick,
Could you clarify your dosage of Wellbutrin? Is it 400 mg twice a day = 800 mg daily? Or, 400 mg daily, taken in 2 divided dosage, as in 200 mg twice a day? I will suppose you are taking Wellbutrin SR (sustained release) formulation?
This is the end of the thread.
