Acquiring Manerix

Posted by Sandi46 on August 15, 2000, at 9:44:26

Is it possible for me (or my doctor) to get Manerix? I live in the U.S. and have been told it is not FDA approved. Can someone give me an address or email please? Thanks!!!

You need a valid prescription. N.J. Shore Pharmacies
85 villeneuve O
Montreal, QUE. H2T 2R4

price: 200 tablets 300 mg around $400.00
Also, I believe there are pharmacies on line
such as IAS or pharmaworld.com that may have cheaper prices.

Good Luck,

Anna P.

I have some. Lots leftover. Enough for a couple months anyway. I don't know how legal it is to sell meds amongst ourselves. It's probably not legal. Anyone know?

John - Here in Canada, selling prescription medication, any prescription medication, is tantamount to selling pot. But hey, because it is a first offense, a non-addictive drug, and you were trying to help a friend, you should be able to get away a six month suspended sentence and a stern lecture on the dangers of sharing medication. That is , of course, if you get one of them Tarana (read Toronto) silk suit lawyers ;^)

Seriously, it is illegal to transport and sell any prescription medication across an international border. Besides, your name gets flagged and any out of country "shipments" you receive will be scrutinized (ie Big Brother will be watching you, instead of vice versa - wait nobody watches Big Brother).

The liabilities do increase if Sandi has a serious reaction to the medication and dies. The authorities (FDA and Health Canada) frown upon killing people, no matter how good the intent.

I am not so sure what the American laws are for possessing and selling a restricted and unapproved drug to someone else, unless you can say it's the only thing proven to help your epilepsy or glaucoma.

Besides, if Sandi already works for the FDA (or whoever their strongarm men are), then you get your vacation a little early.

Careful dude - Sincerely, Cam

Cam,

Warning well taken! Thanks for the heads-up.

I have to admit it is frustrating to see so many good meds in my leftover drawer just waste away. They didn't work that well for me, but could be miraculous for someone else. But I hear ya.

Pity.

John
