My doctor recently prescribed Vivactil for me. I desperately want to know about other people's experience with this drug. Did it work? What were the side effects?

I have used Vivactil myself, but stopped it due to blurred vision. Other than that, Vivactil was okay. My opinion is that Vivactil can be very helpful for depression.

I was started out on 10mg a day. Vision was blurred by third day. Stopped it on the fifth day. I must say though, for me it sure is stimulating, and a mood booster!!Now I just take 5mg. now and then for an energy boost for the day when I need some extra energy.
If I were to take Vivactil on a daily basis, it would likely have to be no more than 2.5 mg. a day. I am med sensitive.
