I having first hand knowledge of addiction to pain killers
is no fun, I cured myself, I tapered off till I got down
to the bare minimum for relief. Now I have Pseudo addiction
LOOK IT UP...
I have to tell you I went through hell trying to control
my intake of pain meds. My family doc said he has some
patients who take 1100 mg of oxycontin daily....
UNBELIEVABLE.But they don't have pain just strung out or
so it seems he said.They to have talked suicide...
I cannot take that much oxycontin, I would blow my head off.
I tolerate pain that puts me on the floor screaming in
agony. Happened at work, a coworker said if I didnt get
up in 5 mins she will call 911. That was on a tuesday Oct 99
Haven't been back to work since. I have an appt with SSA
tomorrow for disibility retirement, Hope I dont go postal....

Good luck at SS. Besure to tell them if you have also been diagnosed with depression etc... that will help your case. A helpful hint, bring the names, dates and addresses of all the doctors you have seen and ALL of the places you have worked (if you are applying for SSD), you'll be glad you did. I hope you get it!

Yes I willtell them what ever they want to hear.
I have been diagnosed as suicidal and depressive...
