Regarding Medications

Hello, Thank you for responding!!!

This all started after my 3rd baby was born. I went to see the doctor and said, I feel like crying all the time and feeling lots of anger. He put me on 50mg. of zoloft. I was on that for approx. 3 mo., but could not afford it any more. He then perscribed something else, and i could not function at all. I have 3 young girls to take care of. ....so time went on

We moved into a new house, and all hell broke lose. I was so mad all the time. My husband made me go see md, she perscribed 50mg. zoloft and gave me alot of samples. Then we got insurance. A few months went by and started feeling sad, mad, very irritable. She increased to 100mg.

I am not sure of the time frame involved, but went back again to see md. She said, i should take 150mg of zoloft and gave me xanax.

Then i started with the flashbacks, very scary......

My md told me to pdoc., so i did....he said, i was suffering major depression along with an anxiety disorder. He said, start out with 200mg of zoloft and gave me klonopin for the anxiety.

I think a week passed, and i was not getting any relieve at all....sad, mad, and i felt like losing control. I called pdoc., and he put me on neurotin 300mg 4 x day......I called him and said the neurotin was making me very hyper....and he said, still take it and take 1/2 dose of klonopin....NOW TALKING ABOUT ALL HELL BREAKING LOSE...

It felt like i was losing my mind.....sad, mad, my mind was racing...so i would take another 1mg. of klonopin.

I called again, he said to take 250mg of zoloft at bedtime and prescribe zyprex....lose dose of 2.5 mg

I was having flashbacks before i started all this medication.

I would be holding my head over a sink....my head felt like exploding....racing thoughts, ect.

Thanks
Rose

James here....

Could you explain "flashbacks" ? Do you mean flashbacks caused by psychedelic drug use or something else ?

Rose, wow, what can I say, you've been through it! The Neurontin was probably given as a mood stabilizer. The side effects of Neurontin wear off fairly quickly for most people. I'm on Lithium and it has done very well. Please take care of yourself, and keep us informed. Blessings,

S. Suggs
