REVIA, CELEXA ???s-DR. Help Please, or Comments

Posted by RG on June 11, 1999, at 18:11:03

Well, I've taken ReVia for 3 days along with my Celexa and I must say it makes a difference for me. I guess I am just worried since I've only been on Celexa 2.5 weeks at 40mgs. Am I not giving it enough chance to work properly, however, I notice a good difference if I add the NALTREXONE 25 mgs. My pdoc said I could still take BusPar, too. I take 7.5 MGs of Remeron to sleep at night. Am I over medicating? Maybe 40 is too high for the Celexa? Should I wait to take the ReVia? The Revia has a calming effect for me as I am a recovering addict of 2.5 years with a highly addictive personality. I think it has actually helped with the picking and twisting of hair or scalp and face. Funny, but true-maybe it's placebo and that's why I wonder if I should just keep takin it?

I'm planning on taking Revia and Celexa. Robyn, are you still taking it? Anyone else that can share with the experience?

FYI if you look at a thread titled "Naltrexone Augmentation" started October 1 there is some discussion of this. Earlier threads by Wayne R are also of interest.

Dittos. Looks good to me too. If anything, could go up slightly in dosage of both Celexa and Revia, hold steady on the Remeron and Buspar. If you feel you're overmedicating, sounds to me like Buspar is the one you could drop. Overall though looks good. It's nice if we can get by with 1 or 2 meds, but sometimes it takes 3 or 4. Not uncommon.
