I have a quick question!

Posted by jenn on August 31, 1999, at 21:50:12

I recently threw out a bunch of old pill bottles when I moved to college. Today I found a small orange pill in my jewelry box. I remember taking it but was very curios as to what it was for. It is really tiny and bright oranger, round and flat, on one side the number 10 is engraved and on the other side is an indention to cut it in half with DAN written on top and 5554 on the bottom.
If you know what it is by any small chance, please send a quick email or something. I don't know if it is just a funny looking vitamin or some psychological kind of thing. Thanks!!
Jenn

Jenn,
The drug you are asking about is a Beta Blocker called Inderal. I'm guessing that you either suffer from high blood pressure or panic disorder. It works by blocking the effects of noradenalin (your brains version of adrenalin). This IS NOT a harmless vitamin and my recommendation would be to throw it away if you no longer take it. I hope this helps and good luck with school (I just started too).
