Effexor substitutes?

Posted by Malia on August 26, 1999, at 19:23:41

Has anyone tried anything similar to Effexor? I really liked how I felt on it but had to get off it due to my high blood pressure which increased dramatically with Effexor use. I'm currently on 100 mg of Wellbutrin in the morning and 150mg of Serzone at bedtime. I feel a bit nervous/anxious on the Wellbutrin, but maybe I'm still on the switching "merry-go-round" of finding the best meds for me. The Wellbutrin gives me a "lift" that Serzone didn't, but I really, REALLY miss the Effexor. I can't tell you how happy I was when I was on it. That in itself is depressing!

Me too!

Malia,

I want to know of any "substitutes", too. The
Effexor withdrawal is pure hell, and while the
Wellbutrin is keeping me alive, I don't know
if it's helping otherwise.
