MY SYMPTONS AND A SUGGESTION

Posted by harry on June 30, 1999, at 22:10:48

Tonight i would like to lay out my symtoms to the folks that partake of this panel,,right know since about 8 pm i feel good,,like a normal person,, full of energy thats when i do my work out will go to bed about 11 pm fall asleep and that is when my dispair takes place,,as soon as i awake,,could be 4am,,6am even as late a 7 am as soon as i open my eyes all the bad things start,,every thought in my brain is negative and hopeless, then comes the fatique,,i mean fatique..if i would have won a huge jackpot the day before i would find something wrong about it,,and this remains thru the whole drab and dreary fatiqued day,,most of the day i can handle the no hope thoughts,,but, its the fatique that really gets me,,have had almost every test, blood,,cat scan,,tread mill, ekco, etc, etc, thyroid panel is normal,,but there is one more test, that is not normally done that i discoved its called hypothyroid stimulation test called three hospitals and they never heard of it ,,well i'am having it done next wed.in case you folks don't know if your thyroid is not functioning right depression and fatique is the systoms, and it will not show up in a regular thyroid blood panel,,ok my unknown friends,,i explained this to a psy.he took out his only weapon for depression ((his prescription pad)) and wrote me one for ZOLOFT,,too bad...Well i have laid myself bare and thank you if you read the whole thing,,what do you think ???Is my problem physical or mental??? One more thing,, i think this dr.bob's babble is great,,i would like to add a suggestion,on sundays long distant phone calls are five cents a minuet,,how many of you folks out there that are suffering would like to give and recieve info and help over the phone (seems sundays are the worse when you are depressed)all you have to do is give your phone number,,yea i know first thing comes to your mind (especially the ladies)but i don"t think folks with our problems are in the mood for the weirdo stuff,,as far as out siders that could be a problem and i don't have an answer for that,,,anyway its just a suggestion and i will start it off with my phone number 407 876-7958 name is HARRY by the way i'am not on any RX's useing Cognative Therapy,,5-htp and tyrosine

hmmm sounds very similar to me , sometime about 7-11pm i feel normal after a day of hell, the only test i had that proved positive was a cortisol, both urinary and saliva proved it to be over twice the normal max, my endocrinologist says the swift evening turn off is typical of a hormone mediated condition, you might want to check this out, hope zoloft helps but it made me worse , the thyroid is a definite possibility though mine was normal

Harry, can you tellme more about the thyroid test?Every doctor thinks i look like i have thyroid problems but the blood tests are all normal so it would be interesting to learn about this other test. Also have you been tested for lyme disease? Its another hidden one that doctors often miss. I hope they discover something easily curable for you cos there is nothing worse than having no diagnosis cos you still feel lousy but no one understands, Bye for now anna

Harry,

I am submitting this post nearly two years later, but I wonder if you ever did get tested for Lyme Disease. It mimics so many other diseases, plus the tests the regular doctors use often come back with *false* negatives. There are "Lyme Literate" doctors out there who can help if that is the cause of your illness.
