Zoloft withdrawal..now with Wellbutrin

Posted by Anne on May 7, 1999, at 13:53:03

Has anyone experienced a physical reaction to going off of Zoloft that almost feels like minor body shocks?

Like if you are walking and turn the corner your body tingles, but it's a rather uncomfortable tingling. I guess it's somewhat similar to when a part of your body falls asleep.

yes its called ssri discontinuation symptoms not dangerous and it will go away on its own if it is difficult to tolerate restart at a lower dose and gradually get off this med.

Anne,

I had been taking Zoloft for about 2 years. I ran out of my prescription and could not get it refilled without paying another $50 to $100 to see the quack Dr that first precribed it to me. I have experienced just what you described. I felt like I was jumping around in my head like when you jerk when you just fall asleep only to awake suddenly. I felt this way only in my head I mean I didn't physically jump. This sensation only lasted about a week and then I felt normal again. Does this make sense to you? This is very hard to describe without experiencing it as you know.

Blake
