Phenelzine(nardil), while quite effective in treating various psychiatric disorders, also has a habit of "pooping out" i.e. stopping to work after a short period. Any ideas on how to fix this??
Also, I understand that there is a new MAOI on the market-one that is actually being reintroduced. Any information?
Thanks.

Hi there. I had Nardil poop-out too, plus (this is described in the appendix to _Listening to Prozac_, BTW) I got *worse* after it stopped working. Scary. I don't know how to prevent this. I'm taking Parnate now.
I think that Marplan (isocarboxazid) has been reintroduced in the U.S. It's another hydrazide, like Nardil.
This is the end of the thread.
