Is pycnogenol a safe antioxidant which has pychotropic effects?

I'm pretty sure it is safe, but I do not notice
any psychotropic effect... Where did you hear
about this?

My understanding is that this class of plant
extracts are really good free-radical scrubbers,
but not much else.

There are net site which indicate it is a safe alternative to ritalin- found through yahoo re ritalin
