Appetite loss on Serzone?

Posted by Racer on August 30, 1998, at 15:13:17

Has anyone else experienced this? My appetite is virtually non-existant, and it worries me.

If you have experienced a loss of appetite on Serzone, did it go away? How long did it take?

Thanks.

Hi. Yes I did experience severe appetite loss on Welbutrin.
My M.D. took me off of it because he was concerned of the
"anorexic effect." I would like to go back on it and I just
read Durga's post of combining Welbutrin & Zoloft. Maybe that combo
may mitigate the anorexic response.

Let me know if this helps. Good luck.

Thanks for responding. Since I am desperate for relief (If it doesn't come soon, I will kill myself), I'm not anxious to monkey around with trying twenty drugs for two weeks each. That would take much too long, since it's not even enough time to see if they will work on the depression.

And, to be honest, since I have a history of anorexia nervosa, I kinda feel better when I don't eat anyway. I've come to the conclusion that it's a form of self-medication for me. That's sick, but at least it keeps the real problems at bay until the drugs can take effect.

THanks again for your time.

Check out a website mentioned above: www.drjensen.com/index.html

This doc does phone consults. An hour is $240 and he takes credit cards. It may be worth your life to go into this amount of debt to see if he truly has a way to get you better in a few days. I mean, you are paying for treatment and meds that you feel aren't helpful anyway; you might as well try a method that sounds systematic and quick.

Choose life, Racer.

I had to take several enemas because of the
tremendous constipation I experienced.....
this has got to stop......I have to
increase the overall amount of liquid to
acheive a bowel movement......I am now
up to three quarts for each enema!!!!!
