Hi J

Now that your anxiety is under control with paroxetine (Seroxat), I wonder whether you really need an antipsychotic?

You could taper the Seroquel by reducing the dose in steps of 25mg. Have you decided that you definitely want to taper off Seroquel? If you stay off antipsychotics for long enough, your TD might disappear without treatment.

Kind regards

Ed

im sure the seroxat has saved me from this disorder, because they gave me Zyprexa for months with no improvement in pannick attacks, then seroquel with no improvement, i had a serious pannick attack at the hospital, then the doc diagnosed me with pannick disorder, gave me seroxat and after 3 weeks i felt normal again after 7 months of dopamine treatment there was no improvement in my disease, since the seroxat started i can go live almost normal again, still the TD, i take the seroquel because it stops the blinking a little, but since i started taking Vitamin E 2000 IU it bagan worse but i care, i want to wait 3 months, if it fails i will stop the seroquel treatment and go to hospital to try Clozapine. (this is hardcore stuff i know) but what if it cures the problem?

when i experimented on low dosage of seroquel 75 mg, i indeed felt good but after 20 days i began to get serious withdrawal symptoms because i dont take it twice, but now i take twice and i have no such withdrawal effects. still im having sedation (its just not worth it) but i need something that controls my TD, ive tryed Lecithin witouth success, Zyprexa 20 mg (not good it worsened), Seroquel ( a bit less thank god), and now for 2 weeks i think Vitamin E 2000 IU (it has worsened for unknown reason). i really think i have some brain damage, i decided to quit the hospital because i see some people suffer more then i, like with 1 leg, or sit in a wheelchair or have serious conditions, i just coudnt handle anymore i still have nightmares about it, there was a girl just drugged by those anti psychotics she walks and talks like a zombie, but from my experience i noticed SOME PEOPLE FEEL GOOD ON ANTI PSYCHOTICS, ive read about mircale storys of Zeldox, GEODON, and yes i was the first one to take it, but it was nightmare, worst side effects on any anti psychotic is GEODON (ive read on the web that some people are feeling great and some have hell side effects unfortunatelly i had it. i was about to continue my studies until my eyes went crazy and i fell into depression, lost friends, not a pleasant thing to happen...

The doc that prescribed geodon to me said there was absolutelly no danger, well im propably stupid or something, i just wanted to feel great and go on with my college. making friends, girlfriends, go to partys. i dont regret taking geodon because it helps other people wich i find very strange because the doc said GEODON blocks short term memory and can cause and worsen psychosis or anxiety, ive read stories about geodon on remedyfind.com

Seroxat has saved me......

hey ed, witouth you i would not be cured from this problem, these doctors said it was pannick syndrome at the first day i got hospitalized and they didnt prescribe me an SSRI, i had to suffer 6 months with zyprexa and dopamine agents in order to find a solution.

do you call this professionism, you know in star trek a sci fi doc appears from nothing and scans the brain with some sort of futuristic device and see whats wrong with the neurotransmitters in someones brain.

WHY ISNT THERE A DEVICE TO SCAN FOR THIS....

im serious... isnt there a scanner to see what neurotransmitters arent working properly or chemical imbalances?

i guess im stupid...

Hi J

>WHY ISNT THERE A DEVICE TO SCAN FOR THIS....

....because the brain is so complicated that no one truly understands it!

>i guess im stupid...

No J, you're not stupid at all. Don't put yourself down.

>SSRI

Seroxat was good for my anxiety too. SSRIs are often effective for panic disorder, although the initial side effects can be problematic.

Ed

yes i had side effects at the start but now i am happy! with the seroxat!

i want to withdraw safe from seroquel, can you help me professional, i dont want doc knowing im off it, its gonna be a hard time because when i stop i will feel that the eye muscle contract high spasms, i blinked twice every second, please help me :( i rather blink more and be myself again, then be sedated by anti psychotic, (do you understand me bit?). geodon had minimal sedation thats why i wanted to try it.

the seroxat 30 mg i will continue to take because this helped me out of the hospital 99.98%.

I have a question for you,

Im taking anti psychotic for 8 months now, i dont hear voices or hallucinate, but even if that first attack was psychotic (my heart racing, pannick, feeling in head like i lost my knowledge). took zyprexa 20 mg, the next day was complete nightmare. my mom felt something was wrong she said, psychotic? i said i dont know, ive never been psychotic in my life before...

is it SAFE to stop? as soon as its out of my body (2 weeks withdrawal HELL) can i get such attack again, i dont know.. i just want to be myself again (Seroxat did that).

Im counting a bit on your advice.

Hi Jeroen, you sound so much better. This makes me happy for you. Sounds like the seroxat is your drug of choice. Ed will help you with the weaning of seroquel. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi J,

>i dont want doc knowing im off it

If I were you, I'd suggest to my doctor that I wanted to reduce my Seroquel dose. I wouldn't say anything about coming off the drug completely. If you mental health improves as you reduce the dose, you could suggest to your doctor that you might feel better if you came off the Seroquel completely.

>my heart racing, pannick, feeling in head like i lost my knowledge

You might not have been psychotic. Your symptoms sound like severe anxiety and panic.

Does your psych doc believe that you were psychotic? Perhaps you were, it's impossible for me to tell - I've never met you J!

>as soon as its out of my body....can i get such attack again, i dont know.. i just want to be myself again (Seroxat did that).....

I'm hoping that the Seroxat will be 'powerful' enough to treat your anxiety on its own. At the moment, I wouldn't attempt to withdraw from Seroquel completely, I would gradually reduce the dose with your doctors knowledge and see how you feel.

>i rather blink more and be myself again, then be sedated by anti psychotic, (do you understand me bit?

Do you think Seroquel is making you fatigued?

>2 weeks withdrawal HELL

Withdrawal will not necessarily be hell. There are two reasons why withdrawal might be difficult.....

1. If you reduce the dose too quickly
2. If you *need* the Seroquel to help your mental health problems ie. Seroxat is not enough on its own. If this turns out to be true, you might find that you can continue to take Seroquel at a lower dose with minimal side effects.

Kind regards

Ed
