I just spent close to $600 on flights to get to my summer program. Ugh, 600 bucks! Luckily my aunt is willing to use her airmiles for one of the flights I have to take, so that reduced the price for $800 to $600. Isn't there better things I could be doing with my money rather than sitting on a plane?

Votre francais est bien!
My biggest problem right now when typing french, I put in the english word. Like "the" for "le/la" or "is" for "est". But then again, when I'm writing notes in English, I often insert french words. I was retyping out my notes yesterday from an english class, and there were several "parce que"s and such.
Qu'est que c'est une tarte au pomme de terre? Potato pie?

Hi Meri-Tuuli,
I had five years of French, too, and I can't speak more than sentences a two year old would say. Though my fractured French is better than my Italian, though I only had one semester of Italian. All I remember is how to order a cup of black coffee. If I ever get to Italy (I would love to go there) I'll be easy to spot: I'm the the starving woman with the caffeine buzz.

Oppps I meant to say I love apple tart. Oh well.
We have a french chick in class and she has the best accent by far (when she speaks English!)

Vrrai uno cafe? I went to Italy and had to learn how to speak it pretty fast. 'Io sono una studitessa d'geologie a universitie d'potenza'.....
I can't remember the spelling. But on the other hand, its quite easy to pick up.

Hi Meri-Tuuli,
Languages are not easy for me to pick up at all. I've been to Mexico many times and can only order drinks. Then again, what's wrong with that?
